Jenna Lizarraga, a school psychologist, loves MVP Kids® books and gives them five-star reviews on Amazon! She’s worked with elementary age children between two schools for thirteen years and runs a social skills group for students who experience difficulties with their behavior, making friends, maintaining attention and low self-esteem, etc. In each session she reads a book that addresses the topic of the day and Real MVP Kids® address the right topics these kids need to hear. Here is what she has to say about our newest releases:

Blake Rewires the Failure Circuit™:
“This book is a wonderful way to teach kids that they need to start at the beginning of a task and power through until they reach success. I use this book in my social skills groups that I facilitate for 4-5 grade. The book includes questions at the end of the story that encourage reflection and discussion amongst group members. Highly recommend!”

STAND Up to Bullies™:
“This book is a keeper! I utilize this book in my social skills group to address bullying. It covers logical, safe, and positive steps children can use when they encounter negative peer interactions. The book has three short stories and questions to help facilitate reflection and understanding. The characters in the book are relatable and represent a variety of cultures/capabilities. The characters are also found within the rest of the MVP series, and my students love to recognize them and make connections to previous MVP books we have read. Overall great book and great series!”

Lock Up Lying™:
“This book is a great tool that I use with my students within my social skills groups. The characters within the MVP series are relatable and representative of children from different cultures and capabilities. My students enjoy listening to these books during read alouds as well as answering the reflection questions at the end of each story. Wonderful book!”
